Account aggregation service Agurippa and Money 2005 financial management software to expand collaborative features-automatic download of account details and auto login become possible through offering of MSNR Balance Check Gold

Plala Networks, Inc. (Koji Bando, CEO; HQ: Toshima-ku, Tokyo) has furthered the collaboration between its “Augrippa” account aggregation service, which it provides as an application service provider to portal site operators, and Microsoft Japan’s (Michael Rawding, CEO and President; HQ: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) Microsoft Money 2005 personal money management software which goes on sale October 22. It will offer MSNR Balance Check Gold, a service limited to customers purchasing Microsoft Money 2005.
1.Background
Plala Networks began providing its Agurippa account aggregation service to the MSN portal site in December 2003. This led to the development of the MSN Money Balance Check Service (hereafter “Balance Check Service”) (see note 1). Now with the expansion of collaboration between Agurippa and Money 2005, Balance Check Gold offers features that give the service greater usability including automatic downloads of financial asset details through Money 2005 using the OFX2.0 (see note 2) unified international standard for the electronic exchange of financial data and an auto login feature which provides for seamless authentification between the aggregation site’s Balance Check Service and the financial institution’s Website.
2.Overview of the MSN Money Balance Check Gold Service
【1】About the Money Electronic Account Details Automatic Download Feature
Until now it was impossible to download transactions to a money management program without either using the Balance Check Service or accessing the Website of each financial institution. With Balance Check Gold, once the user has registered his or her account information for a site with the Balance Check Service, transaction details can be downloaded within Money 2005 with just one click. This allows the user to greatly reduce the time and trouble of accessing and entering information at each individual site.
【2】About the Auto Login Service
The Auto Login Service is a feature that makes seamless login possible between the account aggregation site and the bank, brokerage, or credit card company site being used. Agurippa’s Auto Login feature will be provided as a special service to customers purchasing Money 2005. By simply registering his or her username and password for financial or other compatible sites, the user is able to access the site content beyond the login page for the relevant sites from the Balance Check Service without entering username and password information at the various login screens. Therefore, once the user has created a single list of financial assets at the aggregation site, electronic bank transfers, stock purchases, or other such transactions can be performed easily.
3. About the special limited sale of the Money 2005 download version
In commemoration of the collaboration between Agurippa and Money 2005, a download version of Money 2005 aimed at users of the Balance Check Service is available for purchase at a special price on Plala Networks’ shopping site, Plala Paradise.

Note 1: About MSN Money Balance Check Service
MSN Money Balance Check Service is an account aggregation site opened on December 15, 2003 that utilizes Plala Networks’ Agurippa account aggregation service. The idea for collaboration with Microsoft Money personal money management software was conceived by Microsoft Japan, the site provider, when the service was initiated and has received extensive support since.
Note 2 OFX2.0
This is the most recent unified international standard for governing the electronic exchange of financial data over the Internet among financial institutions, businesses, and consumers. Previously, the manual downloading of information in the OFX1.0 format using a one-way methodology was commonplace, but with Money 2005, a characteristic two-way methodology is being used, allowing one-click automatic site access and automatic downloading of information in the OFX2.0 format
